Tammi, Dave & Paul

Tammi was the first of the three of us to fall for the allure of amber with inclusions.  Tammi wrote a simple amber web page to express her fascination with this magic stuff and that simple act led to all this, through  the contacts she makes and maintains with amber afficionados from around the world.   When you email us, chances are Tammi will respond to you first -- she's our personal touch.  Tammi has a BS degree in Anthropology from the University of Kentucky and works for the Kentucky Geological Survey.

Dave is photographer and chief webmeister.  He'll tell you all about our trials and tribulations with our Nikon Coolpix 900 digital camera with macro capabilites (actually, well make that topic one of our pages soon).  Dave has a BS degree in Geology from Morehead State University and works in multimedia and web design at Smoothstone Systems, Inc.

Paul Howell is an Associate  professor of Geology at the University of Kentucky.  His professional specialty is broadly in sedimentary geology, but he has a BS degree in Biology and can't seem to keep away from fossils.  These little bugs interest him particularly, possibly due to a karmic residue problem that he hasnt been able to shake (perhaps he was once a fungus gnat in a Baltic forest).

We are all amateurs in the amber field, just learning as we go an hoping to share our findings with you along the way.  We hope to add several new features to our ambergallery.com site soon, including a petting zoo of creatures weve identified from our collection, a reviewed listing of books that you can purchase online from a variety of sources, and as much information as we can digest on amber fact and lore.

Let us hear from you!  We plan Amber Gallery to be an intimate Internet gallery, and hope that you enjoy our offerings. If there are any comments you would like to send us, or if you just want to share your love of amber, please email us (info@ambergallery.com). We have had help from many people along the road to this point, friends who have supplied us with amber, with information, with support and love.  Thanks to all of you (you know who you are).
